Default DoA Heroway

Hello all,

The time has come for me to release the teambuild which is able to do Domain of Anguish in HM with ease. This build is made to finish all 4 areas in DoA within 1-1.5h and if your highly experienced even BELOW 1h.

Disclaimer:
Build has been made by myself, Guardian of Ectos - therefore I reserve the rights to this teambuild.

Disclaimer:
You do need some EXP in TANKING and/or playing EMO before attempting this. (For explanations on tanking I suggest wiki or youtube for more explanation)

Disclaimer:
Thread will be updated regularly for more information and tips. This only scratches the surface of the build and the arguments why these builds are ran.

Disclaimer:
This screenshot is BEFORE the build got tweaked to a even better one. Also I used a mercenary hero instead of a necromancer on this run to quiken it a little bit up, I changed the teambuild now so that everyone can do this instead of a requirement to get these mercenaries.
Also Pain Inverter was used to kill tendrils quicker, this again requires more exp in EmoĆng and controlling the heroes

IMPORTANT TO READ:
When playing with heroes it is important to know how to flag heroes. You will HAVE to do this throughout the complete run. The reason for this is that heroes often will wander around to places that you don't want to. For example running to foes to deal damage or run around certain routes in order to get to a enemy because the line of sight is blocked.

Always flag the heroes in AGGRO bubble range in order for the heroes to use their attacks. Without doing this you will not do any damage at all and most likely will wipe because of too long no damage and aggro.

Explanations on each area:
(This explanation is for the emo and his heroes)

City of Torqua:

- Bonding -
Step 1: Bond yourself with Protective Bond and Balthazar's Spirit
Step 2: Bond all heroes with Protective Bond
Step 3: Bond the tank with Life Bond > Protective Bond > Balthazar's Spirit
Step 4: Let Hero 1 use Mending on all except for the tank
Step 5: Let Hero 2 use Watchful Spirit on all except for the tank
Step 6+: Keep watching all bonds, if some are lost be sure the bond order on all heroes is: Protective bond > Mending > Watchful Spirit

- Route: Part 1-
Step 1: After bonding all heroes start flagging your heroes up the corner as suggested on this picture below: (PS do NOT flag heroes near spirits, else they will kill them and get aggro)

Step 2: Once flagged let Hero 4 use Edge of Extinction

Step 3: Start spiking the 1st ball in city

- Route: Part 2 -
Step 1: Start killing the enemies on the wall, be sure to NOT flag heroes near a spirit
Step 2: Once all enemies on the wall are killed put Edge of Extinction near the ball of enemies infront of the city wall
Step 3: Kill all enemies infront of the city wall and enter the door and walk to the left side.
Step 4: Flag your heroes on this picture below:

Step 5: Watch the bonds of the tank!
Step 6: Place Edge of Extinction and kill them

- Route: Part 3 -
Step 1: Start walking up to the right and go onto the next groups of enemies.
Step 2: Place Edge Of Extinction on this picture below:
Step 3: Kill the group

- Route: Part 4 -
Step 1: Wait until the tank is in positition and grab the quest reward.
Step 2: Walk to the tank with just enough range to keep his bonds up
Step 3: Walk backwards and wait for the tank to ball everything up
Step 4: Place EoE and kill them
Step 5: Once the big group of enemies are dead flag the heroes just outside the gate to Stygian Veil in order to miss the energy drain effect
Step 6: Finish off Jadoth

--- PICTURES STILL HAVE TO BE ADDED
--- TO BE CONTINUED

Very nice, I still have yet to play much in DoA, I have been there a few times but it never interested me being a solo kinda player By the time DoA was popular everyone I played with had drifted off into other games so I think I missed out

Might go and give this a blast with a friend of mine and see how it goes, Thanks for sharing.

Hero 3 looks pretty much useless to me beside BIP.
Why do you need wards when you have a tank?

The Obsidian flame does 140 armor ignoring damage, therefore it is a strong singel target spammable skill. ALso dark pact is aswell pretty much armor ignoring damage (around 45dmg) with only less then 2s recast. You dont want any other damage skills because then the hero will only focus on doing damage instead of its supposed job: using bip. The enchantments are cover wide and used for certain spots where there is more pressure (certain places in foundry) for example dreamriders use mirror of disenchantment, which party wides removes a enchantment from the group. By having cover enchantments you mitigate that. Also the ward of stability is used if you need to spike the fury group (meteor shower) or tortureweb dryders use meteor. Also the other ward is used when enemies from veil break out to the party group and if the emo has no bonds on them. Its all extra survivability basicly.

This build looks very random to me. Like someone wanted to copy a doasc build and make it useable with heroes.
Now there is nothing wrong playing tank&spank with heroes but the concept/build seems meh here. It is smart to put all the defense onto the human player - but why when heroes can play defense much better than offense? Prot bond is not needed for doa tanks, and so having an emo isn't.
If you ask me I'd play this with a human dervish spiker. A rather normal herobuild offers enough to fight through weird parts like foundry rooms and cleanup damage with high utility.
Panic and the healing prayer seed skill make a 360 veil quite

But using strats like MENDING a whole party and so on can't make sense in this meta - esp when <1:30 is reachable with a pretty standard wota-support hero team setup 1 real player.
Or when 2 real players can duo the whole thing faster.

I might be wrong since I haven't tested this build in particular nor have I tried alot of tns heroplay but the theory checks out.
